How do I know
if I have a virus?
You must remember
that there are many things that can go wrong
with your computer and they are
not always caused by viruses. The only way you can
know whether or not your computer is infected is
by scanning your machine with an up-to-date
antivirus program, then remove the viruses;
this process can be very involved.
The best cure
is not to get infected by staying up-to-date with virus protection and your
Windows
Critical Updates. Do not open attachments on
e-mails unless you are very sure you need it.
This is not 100%, but it is the best we all can
do.
How do I know
if I have Spy-ware or Scum-ware on my PC?
Many Internet
related slow downs and lock ups are from these
malicious programs.
The only way you can know whether or not your
computer is infected is by scanning your machine
with an up-to-date anti-spyware program and
removing them.

There are several programs on the Internet
that serve two purposes. One is useful, such
as giving you the temperature or keeping
your system clock up-to-date. The other
purpose is hidden, and usually involves
creating pop-up advertisements, selling your
Internet usage information to a third party,
or simply gathering e-mail addresses, which
will then be sold to advertisers.
Ad-aware and Spybot Search & Destory are
free programs and are recommended ways to
remove these "spyware" elements from
programs once you've installed them. But
equally important is prevention. Be
discriminate about the programs you download
and install. Not only will you cut down on
the amount of junk mail and advertisements,
but you'll also keep your computer's hard
drive and memory from becoming cluttered.

If
your computer is running slowly because of software-related
issues like Device driver errors, Illegal
Operation errors, Windows System related, Application, or .DLL
errors, we remove and reinstall offending

itself if needed.
Full hard drives can also severely affect the
speed of a computer. Some of the files on
your PC could be unwanted programs or files from
nefarious web sites (many of these web sites
install programs and files without the user's

easily fixed by running disk cleanup.
